Balls!

Cake balls that is! I am a little behind with this trend. I know I read an article about them a while back but never really thought about it again. Well my cousin made some and brought a few over yesterday and they are delicious! I can't wait to make some! They pretty much consist of torn up cake mashed together with frosting which are formed into balls and dipped in chocolate. You can use a store bought cake mix, a tub of frosting and chocolate bark for melting. Simple, yet yummy! Click here for the recipe she used. Read about them on Bakerella who even puts them on sticks and makes cake pops! And lastly, visit The Cake Ball Company who specializes in these yummy treats.

I was recently at a wedding expo and a great cake designer was there passing out cake balls! They were DELICIOUS!!! She had "glued" them to a cone shaped structure that made the balls look like a tree! The glue was just frosting. YUMMY! By the way...that is a FANTASTIC new blog button for Jill Ward Photography on your sidebar!!
